Here at Gemiini, our Content and Film Production teams are always working diligently to get new content added to our site for our learners! This month was no exception!

The Core Word Corner can be used with both verbal speech and AAC devices. Use the Core Word Corner to find high-use vocabulary words that you can target both in and out of your Gemiini sessions!

This summer, Gemiini enlisted fourteen of our current and former members to share their experiences using Gemiini. We wanted to find out what works and what we could make better. We engaged a leading behavioral research firm to conduct the interviews.

At the end of August, Gemiini leaders met both virtually and in-person at Gemiini headquarters in Spokane, Washington to meet and discuss ways to improve Gemiini’s member platform and grow as a company. For many of the employees, myself included, this was the first opportunity for in-person collaboration since 2020. I remember the excitement and nervousness I felt that first day I arrived at Gemiini headquarters.

This month we are highlighting the word “push!” You can find the word “push” in Level Four of the Language Pyramid. You can also create your own video using our video library and search for the word “push”.

We use AAC all the time, for example, when you put your finger to your mouth to shush, smile across a room, or even text a friend you are using AAC. AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and October is AAC Awareness Month. AAC describes communication that is outside of verbal communication.
